when darkness fell around me

and i couldn't bear to see

the dawning of another day

you were there for me

you gave me comfort

and gave me life

you let me know

everything is all right

you stayed by my side

which shows you care

i'm forever thankfull

that you were there

you were there...

when many diffrent voices

told me i should go

you stood your ground and talked to me

you showed no fear,

oh no

you told me to ignore them

not to let them win

and with your help and courage

i found the strenth with in

you were there..

when i put myself down and told you

everything was wrong

you told me i was worth while

and helped me to be strong

once again you did good

i must say i agree

that anything is possible

when you are there for me

so when the light seems dark and distant

and i feel like a waste

i know someone is greatful

greatful for the space
as long as i am breathing

and i am there for you

i know you'll always be there

be there for me too
